e-Prescribing.
Save time, enhance productivity, improve patient
safety, manage compliance.
e-Prescribing allows a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant to electronically
transmit a new prescription or renewal authorization to a community or mail-order
pharmacy. With e-Prescribing you can review and respond to pending prescriptions requests, complete refills authorizations in less time, and reduce pharmacy faxes and phone calls.
Automatically check for drug-drug interactions and drug allergies, identify generics
and preferred drugs on multiple formularies, provides patient medication lists from all physicians, and
enables stricter therapeutic alternative messaging to encourage generic and on-formulary prescribing.
e-Prescribing can prevent medication errors and open up more time to allocate to patient care.
e-Prescribing and digital document storage are two
of the most efficient and productive technology
tools your practice can implement and get up to
speed on quickly.
With Medicare e-Prescribing incentives - 2% in 2009 and 2010 - now is the time to increase efficiencies in this area of your practice.
